Welcome to Community Outreach Academy...


Community Outreach Academy has an open-admissions policy as established by the Louisiana Legislature and approved by the Board of Regents. Non-high school graduates to have reached the states required school age are eligible for admissions into programs that do not require a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED).

 

Community Outreach Academy adheres to the equal opportunity provisions of federal civil rights laws and regulations that are applicable to this agency. Technician's Corner

     You  can convert your walk behind mower into mulching mower by changing your blade. Always purchase blade according to your model number.

The small engines that run lawn mowers need their oil changed just like car engines. Most mower engines need their oil changed every 20-50 hours of operation.  It depends on usage. 

 

Our Admission Process...


PROCDURE FOR ENROLLING FRIST TIME STUDENT

  1. Complete a formal application (download upper right  blue button) for admission 1-week prior to the beginning of the training program start date.

  2. Provide proof of immunization from measles, mumps, rubella, tetanus, and diphtheria if born after 1956 (on state-approved forms)

  3. Students that have not graduated from high school or home school may be required to take English and math classes.

 

PROGRAM COST
Students are required to pay a one time fee of $400.00 (non-refundable) to pay for books, and uniforms.

 

SCHOOL OFFICIAL UNIFORM

  • Official blue, short-sleeved or long-sleeved polo shirt with the embroidered Community

  • Outreach logo with dark blue khaki.
    *Students are required to purchase shoes.


Community Outreach Academy uniforms MUST BE of the proper size and fit. Pants must fit at the waist and not fall below the waist or buttocks. The length of the pants must fall to the top of the steel-toes shoe. Shirts cannot be so large that they cannot be tucked in. There will be NO modifications of the uniform. Any student found in violation of the dress code, as pertains to fit, will be suspended from school until the problem is addressed and corrected by the student.

SCHOOL CAMPUS

Community Outreach Academy has been bless to enter into a

Cooperative Endeavor Agreement with City of Baton Rouge and Parish

of East Baton Rouge for 99 years for the  old fire station on Osage Ave.

We are in the midst of remodeling and updating.  We are excited to 

have a home of our own that our students can be proud of and feel
safe away from home.

SCHOOL POLICY & PROCEDURES MANUAL

Community Outreach Academy has created a policy and procedures

manual which is issue to every student once enrolled.
We encourage parents and or guardians to read this manual with your enrolled child(ren).

*Students are required to read and sign a Mutual Indemnification and Hold Harmless waiver once enrolled.
